In the years that followed he continued to work in different real estate positions involving sales, development and construction in Colorado and Illinois before moving to the Oregon Coast in the early 1970’s. He began working for Coast Real Estate in 1977 and was the owner/broker in the early 1980’s. During these challenging times, his accumulated decades of experience giving him the increased advantage that buyers and sellers demand. He is able to consistently and successfully complete the complex transactions that are the norm in today’s market. His private time is spent with local physician Clare Brien. They live in a small cabin on some wooded acreage and stay busy with a variety of construction projects. For fun they love cycling and kayaking. This year’s cycling trips include a punishing 7 day ride through the hills of east Texas during Texas Hellweek and the annual Cycle Oregon 7 day ride through the eastern part of the state. Rick serves on the Governing Board and Stewardship Committee at Peace Health Hospital and has been active in the Florence Rotary Club for the last 25 years.
